HCLO
Hypochlorous acid molecules can act on the unsaturated fatty acids on the cell membrane to disintegrate the cell wall; therefore, hypochlorous acid easily penetrates the bacterial cell wall, enters and destroys important components inside the bacteria;
CLO-
Hypochlorite ion (the main component of 84 disinfectant) is negatively charged and repels each other with the surface of bacteria, so hypochlorite ion has poor bactericidal ability.
1976 American biologist John E. Harrison confirmed for the first time that hypochlorite is produced in the natural immune system of human body.
1979 American biologist Thmoas confirmed that hypochlorite can denature proteins, inactivate enzymes, break peptide bonds, and oxidize sulfhydryl groups of cells.
1996 The results show that 0.1 μmol hypochlorite can be produced per 106 neutrophils, which can kill 150 million Escherichia coli in a few milliseconds.
2002 The results show that hypochlorous acidis 80 times more effective than hypochlorite anion in killing Escherichia coli!
